Next Generation Children’s Director

Part-time (10 - 15 HRS/week)

The Next Generation Ministry Director is responsible for developing and implementing the vision, strategy, and tactical elements of scheduling, activities, and teaching of children at LFC. And coming alongside parents in disciplining their children. The ideal candidate will be characterized by a love for Christ, a passion to see children and families transformed by the gospel, and a support for the vision and values of Living Fellowship Church.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Assist in overseeing and creating of a children’s ministry to ensure an organized, safe, and effective ministry.

• Communicate philosophy and vision to parents, visitors, and general congregation.

• Provide strategic leadership and planning initiatives for leaders, volunteers, and parents.

• Coordinate and manage schedules for nursery and classes on Sunday mornings.

• Assist in recruiting and training leaders and volunteers.

• Assist in managing and strategizing Sunday morning operations.

• Assist in development of curriculum and activities for Sunday morning classes

• Purchase supplies working within the allocated budget.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s Degree Required

RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to Lead Planter of LFC.

• Assists in supervising and directing LFC leaders and volunteers.

• Works closely with all areas of ministries within LFC.

Next Generation Childcare Worker

Hourly (approx. 2 HRS/week)

Next Generation childcare workers are responsible for the supervision and care of children at LFC during worship services and select events. These workers are expected to show a love for children, a desire for them to know more about God and His word, and model appropriate behavior at all times. Childcare workers are to adhere to the policies in place for the safety and protection of all children and volunteers in our Next Generation Ministry.

We are looking for kind hearts and hands to help out in our children's ministry at Living Fellowship Church. Paid helpers would be placed with an experienced adult volunteer in either our nursery (0-3) or preschool (3-5) room. They would be expected to arrive at 9:30am on Sunday mornings, and could expect to leave at 11:45am. Responsibilities would include helping to both set-up the room and help to clean and pack up at the end of class. We have fun and creative volunteers who are a joy to work with! Pay is $15/hr and the schedule is flexible according to your availability. Workers would also be expected to complete a Ministry Safe course. This will take about one hour of your time, and is all done remotely from your computer.

● Possesses the ability to engage children in constructive activities and redirect children displaying misconduct

● Possesses the ability to use appropriate judgment, discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality while working with children

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Assists in setting up and taking down equipment used in rooms for children’s ministry

● Arrives 20 minutes prior to anticipated drop-off time of children

● Welcomes children and parents and eases children into the classroom setting

● Communicates effectively in coordinating and managing childcare schedules for

nursery and classes on Sunday mornings and additional events.

● Adheres to Ministry Safe and LFC policies in regards to discipline and diapering/toileting.

● Follows the outlined curriculum or itinerary for each assigned children’s ministry class

COMPENSATION

● $15/hour
