Advent Wreath Workshop

  • IvyBrook Academy 61 Old Canton Street Alpharetta, GA, 30009 United States (map)

We are excited to offer an Advent Wreath Workshop just in time to light your first candle on November 29th! Advent candle wreaths are a traditional way to practice waiting with your family on Christ, our Hope, during the season of Christmas.

Cost:
Suggested donation of $10 at the door to cover supplies. We will have a Square reader for cards.

What will be provided:
Metal wreath frame with candle holders
Basic greenery
Floral ties and tools
Candles
Snacks and drinks
Lots of fun!

What to expect:
We are glad to host professional florist, Kim McNaron, who will lead us through tricks and tips as we design our wreaths together. Elizabeth Harwell will talk to us about Advent Candles and some practices you can do with your family in lighting them!

What you can bring:
We will have some basic greenery here, but you may have some things in your yard that you could add to the “pot” of greenery to share! If you’re able, cut and bring some of these common yard greeneries with you:
Hemlock, Cedar, Boxwood, Camelia, Magnolia, Holly, Small Pinecones

You may also want to bring other things to add to your wreath like dried oranges slices, cinnamon sticks, ribbon, etc. Or you can add these when you get home!

Sign up below to help us plan our space well for all in attendance. (Space may be limited)
